John’s Journey

We have been so very lucky to have the love and support of so many people over the last 2 years. We are starting this foundation to spread some of that love and support.

Through fundraising and selling merchandise we would like this foundation to accomplish a few things.

1. Help at least one family a year navigate through some of the financial hurdles that come with brain injury recovery. Recovery and rehabilitation takes years and much of it is not covered by insurance.
2. Provide a working environment for recovering brain injury patients. Either by helping run a fundraising event, organizing a working day with local businesses or potentially even creating a place for them to work.
3. John has experienced many awesome therapies over the last 2 years. But those therapies happen once a week and cost money. We believe many of these can be replicated using todays screens and technologies. We would like fund great ideas that make recovery an hourly occurence.
4. Navigating through this multiple year journey is really difficult. No one hands you a playbook that gets you through the 5-10 year journey. We would like to make this a little easier by using our experience to connect others, provide answers to questions and have a collection of resources that can be leveraged to help others.
5. Last but not least...We want to spread the love. On June 26th, 2024, John was given a less than 1% chance to live. What came next was an outpouring of love, prayers and support from all over the globe. It was amazing and we are so grateful. We want to spread more love through John's positive attitude and stories of others who are fighting through a similar battle.
